First, I want to extend my thanks to the many fine employees of the PCN who were kind enough to spend hours helping me understand the operations of the railroad. They did not hesitate to show me around and explain the intricacies of locomotive operation and repair, as well as the general day-to-day aspects of running a shortline railroad. Thank you, guys!
Second,
I would like to thank the "Handbook of Texas Online" and the Texas Shortlines
website for allowing me to use information about the PCN.
Last, and
certainly not least, I would like to thank Mr. David Besio, General Manager
of the PCN. By allowing me free access to his locomotives, shops,
and employees, I was able to accumulate many photographs and other information
about the PCN. His gracious hospitality went way above and beyond
anything I could have hoped for, and I just want to say "thank you again,
Mr. Besio--without you, this page would not have been possible."
